If you're trying to market online, you know that having a big responsive mailing list is of the highest importance. In fact, you'd be remiss if you weren't putting list building at the top of your list once you have your product for sale on a decent website. There are plenty of guides out there on how to build your mailing list, and they will instruct you on the basics. These include finding a an item you can giveaway for free relating to your niche, then marketing this giveaway with a squeeze page where people who want it will give you their email address. This article is for you if you're familiar with that process and have advertised your squeeze page in places like safelists, forum signatures, published articles, newsletter ads, etc. I'll show you additional tactics of getting email addresses added to your list that you may not have thought of before, but effective. Tables at the Fair Set up a spot at your local flea market. This will cost you something, but the returns should be worth the cost. Give away something of interest or something neat that relates to your niche. Put a sticker on it with the website address for your opt in page. You could get hundreds of local list members with this method. Using Flyers Make a colorful sales-type flyer about your opt-in page giveaway. Print up a few hundred copies. Then post it anywhere you can think of - local shops, grocery stores, utility poles, park trees - everywhere. After you've hit all your local areas, pay someone so much per post to put them up for you. This way you can not only get them up more quickly, but you can advertise in areas you couldn't get to yourself; perhaps worldwide! This will cost you a bit, but could reach thousands. Don't forget to get proof that your hired help has actually put up as many flyers as he or she claims. Requiring digital pictures is one good way. Or, if they're close enough, randomly audit the locations. Advanced JV Swap This is for marketers with a good-sized list already who want to make it even bigger. Find a low-gravity Clickbank item related to your niche, say 10-30. Contact the owner offering to mail a sales letter to your list with no affiliate link, just the owner's own page if, in exchange, the owner will use your freebie's link on the thank you page. Say you'll also teach him an easy method to increase his gravity rating. When he agrees send him the link to CBCentrifuge.com with directions to build about 20 affiliate links and put them into the free software obtained there. This software will automatically rotate those affiliate accounts whenever the owner makes a sale. This, in turn, raises his gravity rating. A larger gravity rating means more affiliates will work to sell the product. You'll get a tremendous boost in your list and a new ready and willing JV partner for future ventures. Amazon Review Videos You probably know you can write book reviews for items that are sold on Amazon, but not everyone is aware you can make video reviews. The first thing you need to do is find a book in your niche at Amazon.com. You can buy it there or elsewhere or even get it from your library and read it. Record and upload a video of yourself talking about the book. Be sure to tell the ways it helped you in your business or your niche. How can this help you build your list? First, you can overlay the domain name for your opt-in page unobtrusively on the video. Second, at the end of your video review, welcome readers to learn more about your niche topic by visiting your site and becoming a member of your list. Thirdly, put your website URL in your member profile at Amazon. That way when people click on your name, that's where they'll be taken. Remember, people visiting Amazon are most likely buyers. This is exactly the type of list member you want most. Summary When it comes to building a list let your imagination run free. Think locally and globally. Think offline as well as online. Give things away now so you can sell things later, over and over again!
