Most people make the common mistake of calling epilepsy a disease. Epilepsy is the symptom for a disease. It is not a disease on its own. Epilepsy, or seizure disorder, is a state in which an individual has repeated seizures or fits even in regular environmental circumstances. These seizures are caused by an aberrational electric discharge of brain cells.
